 The Creative Writing Group for Ashfield U3A held an inaugural meeting on Tuesday 18th September, 2007, from 14:00 to 16:00 at St. Peter's Church, Sheepwalk Lane, Ravenshead, when guidelines for future meetings were discussed. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month at the home of Margaret Sudlow, the co-ordinator. Members may bring work for constructive crtisism, if they so wish, in any form (fiction, non-fiction, poetry, verse, philosophical, etc.), and may wish to stay with the broad main topic for that meeting or any other work for consideration. This is a friendly group whose intention is to encourage writing for both pleasure and profit. A desire to write is the main pre-requisite of joining, not necessarily having literary skills.
