Bridge for Beginners
Maxine & Martin Rose are running a bridge class for beginners with Martin as co-ordinator. You will need to have a basic knowledge of cards, but the class will be teaching you bridge from scratch. In order to plan the class, once your name is registered, a firm commitment is required as the game calls for groups of four. At present, one more player (beginner or refresher) is required to complete a table. The classes are informal and you need not be worried about making mistakes or playing the wrong card as you are there to learn! The session lasts for about 2 hours once a month. Martin & Maxine are able to cater for a maximum of 16 players but there is a need for anyone who can supply to or lend the group a reasonable-sized card table to let Maxine & Martin know. It is intended to introduce sessions for more-advanced players at a later date. The group meets at Maxine's & Martin's home in Mansfield.
