Ashfield U3A Walking Group 'C' - Strollers

The Strollers Group holds its meetings on the second Wednesday of the month, with the walkers meeting at the starting point of the walk at 10:20 am and setting off on the walk at 10:30 am.

Walks will be gentle and between one-and-a half miles and two-and-a half miles, with the majority at two miles or less. The starting points of the walks will usually be within 9 miles of Kirkby Centre. All walks will have refreshments at the end.

When travelling in someone else's car, we suggest a donation of £3 to the driver to help offset fuel costs and maintenance.

9th May	10:30	Five Pits Trail, Broomridding Wood and hopefully some bluebells!	From Tibshelf take the B6039 Chesterfield Road, turn down the third tarmac lane on the left [Timber Lane], signposted for a Five Pits Trail car park 300 yds further on.
13th June	10:30	Shipley Country Park, Heanor	Main Visitor Centre car park, from Heanor Gate Road
11th July	10:30	Codnor Park Reservoir and Ironville	From the sharp bend on B6016 Victoria Street in Ironville, turn off into Glasson Street, then first left into Cinder Bank and on to a canal bridge and crossroad. Turn right here (Coach Road) and in 200 yds reach Reservoir car park.
8th August	10:30	Oak Tree Heath, Mansfield	Oak Tree Leisure Centre car park, on the Tesco Oak Tree Lane site (off Jubilee Way South)
12th September	10:30	Nottingham Canal and Erewash Canal, Eastwood	Park on Tinsley Road, Eastwood. Coming from Sutton/Kirkby on A608, keep straight ahead at the Mansfield Road /Nottingham Road /Derby Road junction, and go down Church Street. At the end continue forward across the bridge and over the A610 dual carriageway
